History
The idea for the League of Worlds began in the bar after a long day at the 2003 Ed-Media conference in Honolulu. Owen Kelly met Greg Jones and they talked about the fact that the educational uses of simulations and virtual worlds only seemed to be discussed on the fringes of conferences.
The following year at SITE in Atlanta, a number of people from Appalachian Statue University and the University of Melbourne took the conversation up, and together we decided to host a small conference where everyone could demonstrate what they had been doing; we could discuss what we had in common; and we could work out if we had a common future.
